Institute of Reading Development work complaint
Working at Institute of Reading Development - Reviews by Employees
June 19, 2013I started working for IRD summer of 2013 and was just fired yesterday, only 2 weeks into classes. When asked WHY I was fired, I got some diaphanous excuse about how I wasn't enthusiastic enough about the material and students weren't feeling engaged. I knew this wasn't because of MY… Read more / Comment / Share
ELS Japan work review
Working at ELS Japan - Reviews by Employees
June 11, 2013Career: good; Dress code: not required; Work conditions: good; Management: positive, professional; Colleagues: bad; Recommendation: no; Schedule: flexible; Team building: good; Life/Work balance: good; Corporate culture: not developed; Business trips: rare; Company age: old;
It's been a long time, but I still think back with fondness to my days at ELS-Japan. I'm surprised and a little depressed by some of the mean-spirited comments on here, but I guess that's just the way some people are. The students were wonderful and so were the office… Read more / Comment / Share
AFC Industries, Inc. work complaint
Working at AFC Industries, Inc. - Reviews by Employees
April 15, 2013"AFC Industries, Inc." is a horrible place to work. Management takes advantage of employees at every turn. If you saw how material is handled, how the product processed into the final product - you would never buy it. There are so many other great companies that have a better product… Read more / Comment / Share

Working at Weather Shield Windows and Doors - Reviews by Employees
February 17, 2013Horrible warranty program, so this once great old American company can't even stand by its product anymore. So when I see reviews of how the company is going down the toilet, it isn't a surprise at all. / Comment / Share
Fidelity Investments work review
Working at Fidelity Investments - Reviews by Employees
February 15, 2013I worked in Fidelity Systems Company. The managers all had inferiority complexes. They were constantly sending around surveys to fill out and memos to read to try to boost our self esteem. But whenever I interacted with HR, the HR person would always say "you're just a programmer". So much… Read more / Comment / Share

Working at hub Enterprises Inc. - Reviews by Employees
February 15, 2013Career: bad; Dress code: not required; Work conditions: bad; Management: negative, bad; Colleagues: nice, friendly; Recommendation: no; Schedule: not flexible; Team building: bad; Trainings: rare,never; Life/Work balance: bad; Corporate culture: not developed; Business trips: often; Company age: new;
Used to work for HUB... All I have to say, is that company needs to be investigated and also should do surveillance on their selves. They lie to their employees, disrespectful towards other employees and will work you into the ground (70-100 hour work weeks with constant traveling). Then when… Read more / Comment / Share

Homesite Insurance work review
Working at Homesite Insurance - Reviews by Employees
February 12, 2013Career: bad; Dress code: not required; Work conditions: good (I worked from home.); Management: positive, professional (Positive for most part, but defensive when you bring up valid points. They are completely corporate puppets but that may just be call centers.); Colleagues: nice, friendly; Recommendation: no; Schedule: not flexible (You need to work early and weekends to get the good calls. Not a good balance for work/life balance.); Team building: bad; Trainings: rare,never; Life/Work balance: bad; Corporate culture: developed; Business trips: rare; Company age: new (new and old really kind of a mix);
Don't waste your time with Homesite. They tend to over hire agents then weed them out after a few months. The call volume is controlled by managment. Its important to work the weekend shifts and early shifts as to get a good pool of states instead of the uncompetitive states.… Read more / Comment / Share
Hub enterprises, inc work review
Working at Hub enterprises, inc - Reviews by Employees
February 12, 2013Like the last review says, this company is the McDonald's and Burger King of flipping special investigative unit claims. Shane, is the most unprofessional person i have ever met, leadership at its worse! After working an 80 hour week he called to threaten to fire me. Then the other call… Read more / Comment / Share
